CWA Local 1039!
CWA Local 1039 is the Labor Union which represents and advocates on behalf of over 4,000 workers in the public sector in the state of New Jersey.
As a Union, our objectives are to implement programs that improve the quality of workers' rights, their wages, and the working environments regarding the terms and conditions of their employment. In addition, we disseminate information for the purposes of uplifting the economic and social conditions of our members.
Politically, CWA Local 1039 is instrumental in the support of legislation which seeks to improve the status of the Union as a whole. This agenda is advanced through the enactment of laws that are in the best interest of our membership, our families and our communities.
Our constituency in the public sector consists of some of the following areas: Department of Human Services, Division of Children and Families, Department of Community Affairs, Division of Health and Senior Services - Long Term Care, State Parole Board and the Juvenile Justice Commission.
